Many employers prefer medical billers to be certified by respected organizations as assurance of their competence. The Future of a Medical Billing Career Depending on the type of tasks assigned to you and your experience, pay for a Medical Biller can range from a low income of $8 per hour to a high income of $40 per hour. A career in medical billing also offers certain advancement opportunities. Many medical billers have gone on to become managers, supervisors and heads of billing, reimbursement or coding departments. With this bright future foreseen in pursuing a medical billing career, it won't hurt to explore this field if you have the skills and interest. |
